MEMBERSHIP PROCESS
An existing member must propose new member candidates. Candidates are required to: (a) Be a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. (b) Be engaged in the active practice of Obstetrics and/or Gynecology within the territory of the Association continuously for two (2) years.
The existing member must:
1. Write a letter proposing the candidate.
2. Ask another physician member to write a letter of endorsement.
3. Fill out the candidate fact Sheet
4. Obtain the candidates CV
5. Mail all the above to the SAAOG office.
All will be submitted to the Assistant Secretary-Treasurer as well as the State Committee members. We will have an answer within 1 month.
The Assistant Secretary-Treasurer will notify the proposer of the candidate’s acceptance or rejection, and if accepted will contact the proposed candidate and obtain a membership application. We ask the Proposer to contact the candidate and emphasize the importance of filling out his/her application and further consider inviting him/her to the next SAAOG meeting.
