Welcome to the first edition of many SAAOG member spotlights. Every month we will highlight a different SAAOG member who is doing exciting things in the field of Obstetrics and Gynecology. This month we are excited to spotlight Scott Washburn, MD. Dr. Washburn has been an active member of SAAOG for over 20 years and recently presented his abstract (The Post Delivery Placenta: From Biowaste to Biotherapeutics Engine) this past January at the Annual Meeting in Asheville, NC.

SAAOG facilitated interaction between "seasoned" academics, private practitioners, as well as the future bright stars of our specialty in a peer review environment. It significantly improved the quality and consistency of the care with advice I deliver to my patients every day.
I hope for preventing and treating premature labor, improving access to gyn health for menopausal patients s part of their wellness regime, and better tools for assessing value, savings and cost for our work and procedures.
